Cottonwood Art Festival is a bi-annual event held in May and October and features works from some of the nation’s top visual artists. A juried show with 240 artists, Cottonwood showcases art media in 14 different categories such as 2D and 3D mixed media, ceramics, digital, and drawings/pastels. The festival also features local bands and food available in the courtyard.
Wildflower! Arts and Music Festival is an award-winning multi-day eclectic arts and music festival that draws thousands of attendees to Galatyn Park urban center. Festival programming includes four main performance stages that feature national, regional and local bands, the Singer/Songwriter contest and stage, the Kidz Korner, the Taste of Texas Food Garden, the Market Place, and Performers Row featuring strolling entertainers, buskers and acrobats.
Huffhines Art Trails is an annual arts and crafts show featuring 170 of the areas finest artisans. Patrons will find a variety of contemporary crafts, traditional crafts, and art in mediums that range from painting and pottery to glass, wood work and jewelry. Nestled in the trees of Huffhines Park, Huffhines Art Trails takes place the fourth weekend in October and has become a tradition for many of its annual visitors.
Family Fourth Celebration – This traditional, patriotic event, always held on July 4th, is free and open to the entire community. Attendees are encouraged to bring picnics, blankets and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening under the stars! Beginning at 6:00 pm, Breckinridge Park takes on a festive feel with bounce houses, a climbing wall and balloon artists as well as concessions available for those who wish to buy or supplement their picnic dinner.
